| Prospectus S1 Mathematics | tr> The Department of Mathematics has a vision to make mathematics an important tool that supports other disciplines in technological development. Undergraduate Program The Mathematics Department equips its students with subjects covering the fields of Pure Mathematics, Statistics, Computing, Operational Research and Actuarial. Most alumni of the Mathematics Department work in insurance and information technology. Other areas of mathematics graduates are manufacturing, education, research, banking, advertising, publishing, and others.
Objectives: To produce excellent undergraduate mathematics in the national and international labor market, to follow the development of science and technology, adaptive, able to continue study in mathematics and other related fields, literate in IT, competent in mathematics commitment, confidence, emotional maturity and high work ethic.
Graduates Competency - Thinking deductive, logical, analytical and structured in solving problems (problem solving)

To fulfill the competence of the graduates, the minimum graduate of S1 Mathematics Study Program at Mathematics Department FMIPA has:- basic abilities of analysis, algebra, mathematical statistics and applied mathematics with international standards (eg measured by textbooks and syllabus used)
- skills (skill) in good math calculations, either manually or with computer aids
- ability to apply basic skills and skills to solve problems in mathematics and other fields related to mathematics
- Ability to perform the task, either independently or in groups, and create and present the report orally or in writing
